LOVE GOD WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT.
LOVE PEOPLE WITH EVERYTHING HE GIVES YOU.
The Onyx House is much more than a place to live. It is a place to develop key relationships (God, others, our self) in the context of a caring community of other followers of Jesus. It is a place to grow together – celebrating and enjoying the good times, and supporting and encouraging each other through tough times. Whether it is attending a service on a Friday night, enjoying a legendary meal at the house, or living here while you work on your college education, we hope that this is a place where you experience the love of Jesus in tangible, practical and wholistic ways similar to what we read about the earliest Christian community (Acts 2:42-74).
Every Friday night at 7:30PM (Tuesday's at 8PM in the Summer), the Onyx House hosts a worship service for College-Age adults. We sing, pray, study the scriptures and receive communion together. We also have food and fun activities planned for after service. This is a time to gather with other students to focus our minds and hearts on Jesus and to share His love with one another.

Tadd and Jessica Barton
Tadd and Jessica Barton have been married for 25 years. They have been attending Eugene Faith Center for more than 23 years and have been the Onyx House parents for almost 4 years. Tadd is a contractor and is very helpful with fixing things at the house that are broken. You'll recognize Tadd by his laughter which often overpowers the residents of the house. Jessica balances out Tadd in being pretty quiet. She has been working in the business management division of 9Wood, Inc. for almost 4 years. Occasionally, Jessica likes to bake for the residents of the house. Tadd and Jessica have 2 grown daughters who have both lived at the Onyx House in the past. Tadd and Jessica enjoy the liveliness, laughter and spirit that resides in the Onyx House and its residents.
